Southeast Asia analyst is an online magazine created in 2025 that publishes features, analysis and opinion editorials on domestic and foreign affairs of Southeast Asian countries. 

We focus on publishing articles that are objective yet critical of current affairs in Southeast Asia in an effort to provide much needed discourse and evaluation in the region.

Although other magazines that publish articles on global affairs exist, a common trend among them is that stories on Southeast Asia are usually boxed out of the mainstream discussion. Our goal is to shift the focus to Southeast Asia and encourage journalism on and from a region that severely lacks freedom of press.
